The excellent ski centre is located at Hafjell, 15 minutes away by ski bus, and offers a mountain village feel with full amenities and ski in/out accommodation.
Hafjell ski resort is only a 15 kilometer drive away from Lillehammer, in Øyer kommune. The 1994 Winter Olympics were placed in the Lillehammer region and made the region clearly visible on the international "tourist map". Hosting the Olympics made the sports facilities and opportunities for active citizens and tourists even greater. In 2016, the Youth Winter Olympic Games were hosted in Lillehammer.
